The report also spotlights Myanmar, where ongoing conflict further intensifies the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people.
Displacement among LGBTIQ and Gender-Diverse People in Southeast Asia explores the often-overlooked phenomenon of displacement affecting LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse people. Drawing on four ASEAN case studies, the report highlights recurring patterns of exclusion, identifies three key drivers of displacement, and calls for inclusive humanitarian responses and regional frameworks to better support displaced LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse people.
